Getting a Head Start in Life
CASL’s Child Development Center is part of our Early Childhood Education division, serving children from birth to age 5. We’re currently enrolling toddlers ages 2-3 in our Early Head Start program and preschoolers ages 3–5 in our Head Start program. CASL’s Child Development Center is a bilingual, high-quality option trusted by families for 40 years.

Qualifications
CASL’s Early Head Start and Head Start Programs are NAEYC-accredited and DCFS-licensed. As a fully-licensed preschool, CASL’s Child Development Center is recognized as an ExceleRate GOLD Circle of Quality program and is part of the Easterseals network. Our teachers care deeply about each child’s education and development.
School Hours
Early drop-off begins at 7:00 AM. The school day starts at 9:00 AM with last pick-up ending at 6:00 PM.
Tuition Costs
Our Early Head Start and Head Start Programs are free or offered at a reduced cost for families who meet income or categorical eligibility. Download our Eligibility Cheat Sheet for full details.
Private pay options are also available at just $46/day or $1012/month! All supplies including diapers, wipes, and classroom materials are included in the tuition cost.
Health and Safety Standards
Health and safety are a priority at CASL. At our center, we use the ZONO Technologies Sanitizing and Disinfecting Cabinet as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, families, and staff. The ZONO cabinet is an advanced, eco-friendly system that kills 99.9% of common viruses and bacteria and effectively eliminates lice without the use of harsh chemicals.
This innovative technology uses a combination of ozone and controlled humidity to sanitize and disinfect a wide variety of classroom items, such as toys, learning materials, nap mats, and other shared equipment. The process is safe, non-toxic, and helps reduce the spread of germs while extending the life of classroom materials.
By regularly using the ZONO cabinet onsite, we ensure that our classrooms remain clean and that children have a healthier space to learn, play, and grow.
