Change InSight and CACF to Host 2025 New York Data Equity Summit
Bringing together policymakers, advocates, and community leaders to advance data equity in New York and beyond
WHAT: The Change InSight New York Data Equity Summit, convened in partnership with the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF), will bring together policymakers, community leaders, and advocates to explore how disaggregated data can be effectively used to inform policy, drive philanthropy, and advance racial equity.
This summit will focus on the implementation of New York’s data disaggregation laws and the role of community organizations in ensuring accurate representation in policymaking and resource allocation. Discussions will highlight how data equity can drive meaningful policy changes, ensuring that AANHPI communities are fully seen and supported.
A key focus of the summit will be the Invisible No More Campaign, led by CACF, which has been instrumental in advocating for and securing data disaggregation laws in New York. The campaign works to ensure that AANHPI New Yorkers are no longer invisible in policy decisions and funding allocations.
WHY: New York has been at the forefront of data equity policy, but ensuring full implementation of data disaggregation laws remains a challenge. Without accurate, community-specific data, funding decisions and public policies risk leaving many AANHPI communities unrecognized and underserved. This summit will address the next steps in advancing data equity in New York and beyond, bringing together experts and practitioners to discuss solutions and best practices.
