Chinatown Cleanup 2025: Partners in Community Care
On September 11 and 12, CASL welcomed volunteers from Wells Fargo, Strata, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, and HUS Architecture for a two-day clean-up effort in the heart of Chinatown.
Chinatown is more than just a cultural destination. It is home to thousands of residents and the neighborhood CASL has served for over four decades. While litter has long been a challenge in our public spaces, this group of volunteers demonstrated the power of teamwork and civic pride. Gloves on and bags in hand, they spread out across Wentworth Avenue, Ping Tom Park, and surrounding streets, leaving behind not only cleaner blocks but also a visible sense of care and respect for the neighborhood.
The timing was especially meaningful, coming just before the Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture. Thanks to our partners’ efforts, families and visitors can celebrate amid brighter, more welcoming streets.
At CASL, we believe that keeping Chinatown vibrant is a shared responsibility. We are grateful to these corporate partners for rolling up their sleeves and investing their time, energy, and spirit into the place we call home. Their commitment reinforces what we know to be true: when businesses and community members come together, our neighborhood thrives.
Thank you to Wells Fargo, Strata, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, and HUS Architecture for standing alongside us. We look forward to building on this partnership and continuing the work of keeping Chinatown beautiful for all.
