Free Legal Support for Eligible Clients
CASL partners with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS), volunteer attorneys, and interpreters to offer legal assistance on a range of issues. Eligibility is based on household income and residency. We can assist with:

Immigration
Help on non-immigration visas and green cards. Representation for survivors of crime, abuse, and trafficking seeking protected status.

Divorce
Representation for domestic violence survivors in Illinois divorce court and guidance on legal options.

Domestic Violence Support
Legal aid with orders of protection, housing issues, and immigration concerns.

Employment
Support with wage disputes, wrongful termination, and workplace rights (excluding workers’ compensation cases).
Seeking Volunteer Interpreters
Help bridge language gaps. We are looking for volunteer Mandarin and Cantonese interpreters and translators to support remote and in-person legal services.
