Youth Program Leader (grades 7-12)

In my role as a Youth Program Leader, I serve as a mentor, homework tutor, and enrichment teacher. Previous work experience includes teacher’s aide for math and English classrooms in Chicago Public schools, summer camp counselor, Americorps public servant. This work is important to me as a Chinese American queer person who grew up in a small town with very little representation. I am thankful for this opportunity to build up the youth community here in Chinatown, Chicago. I am proud to be connecting with like-minded people who aim to create a strong sense of belonging and care. I love cooking, calisthenics, and reading. I am currently studying Mandarin Chinese.
