ONE CASL for Every Generation

Someone carried the care forward for us. Now it’s our turn.

100 people. $100,000. One generation to the next.

Someone carried the care forward for each of us. This year, we’re asking 100 people to do the same for the families CASL serves.

Our goal is to welcome at least 100 donors and raise $100,000 by December 31, 2026. Every gift counts toward both.

CASL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Appeal 2026

Appeal 2026

Every family has someone who carried the care forward: a parent who sacrificed, a teacher who noticed, a caregiver who stayed. CASL exists because people in this community chose to build something that would still be here for the next generation.

ONE CASL brings our programs together for every age and every chapter of life, from early learning and youth programs to immigration services, caregiver support, and care for older adults. Your gift helps us keep that care going.

Connie's Story

“I can help with him when you’re not here.”

Connie has been a caregiver most of her adult life. About 18 years ago, her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Connie was a working nurse with young children, and her mother was still working. “Even being a nurse, it’s really hard to understand that kind of cognitive decline,” she said. “Each day is different.”

She called CASL. A CASL in-home aide began caring for her father. When others told the family to move him to a nursing home, his aide said, “I can help with him when you’re not here.”

Her father’s aide stayed until he passed away in 2019. Even near the end, when he may not have recognized her, he would smile as soon as she walked through the door. “I think he just knows that she was a kind person,” Connie said.

Today, another CASL aide helps Connie’s mother stay in her own home. Connie still calls her mother four times a day, at 7 a.m., at noon, after work, and before bed, but she says she can work and care for her family knowing someone is there. Without that help, she said, life would be “10 times, 100 times more stressful,” and she probably couldn’t work full time. “It’s provided me a lot of freedom to do things and not worry when I can’t be there.”

It’s very important to keep our elders at home as long as possible and as safe as possible.

Connie’s family relied on in-home care. But families like hers often need more than one kind of support. At CASL, a caregiver can find support groups and stress management classes. A parent juggling work and aging parents can find childcare for their children. A family facing memory loss can find brain health programs. One agency, and care that follows a family through every chapter.
