How We Help

Serving immigrants is why CASL exists. Since 1978, we have helped Chicago’s immigrant communities find their footing, protect their rights, and build their futures. Today, CASL’s Immigration Justice initiative brings legal help, citizenship support, newcomer services, and community protection together under one roof, so families can get help from people they already trust.

Free or low-cost legal help for immigrants facing immigration proceedings or civil legal issues, including direct assistance, referrals, and pro bono attorney clinics.
