Emma Yu
Director, Development
Le (Emma) Yu is CASL’s Director of Development. Her career spans both the nonprofit and corporate sectors, with a consistent focus on building relationships that create meaningful impact. Over the past decade, Emma has led fundraising, partnership development, and community engagement initiatives, most recently as Director of Development at the Midwest Asian Health Association and previously as Executive Director of the Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier in her career, she managed international business relationships at Oil-Dri Corporation of America, bringing a global perspective to partnership development and stakeholder engagement. Emma earned her M.A. from Heidelberg University, Germany’s oldest university, and her B.A. in Suzhou, China.
Outside of work, she enjoys writing, traveling, and stand-up comedy. She is the author of four published books in Asia, primarily works of fiction. Emma lives in Chicago’s northwest suburbs with her husband and their sweet dog, Toffie.
