Eugene Lam

Eugene Lam is an entrepreneur and investor focused on the American food chain. He has founded and oversees multiple food companies spanning distribution, production, and franchised restaurant brands, including COWM Inc., where he serves as Principal. Rooted in Chinatown, COWM is home to more than 150 families, with team members spanning three generations of the same family and partners ranging from mom-and-pop restaurants to national brands. He also manages a venture portfolio of roughly a dozen consumer brands and brings more than a decade of experience in industrial real estate and food-sector M&A. Eugene’s relationship with CASL began in childhood as a participant in its programs. As an adult he returned to volunteer with CASL’s young people on mentorship, financial literacy, and career planning, served on its Community Advisory Council, and hires through its workforce development resources. He is passionate about stewarding entrepreneurship in the community’s youth.
