Gia Schultz

Gia Schultz is CASL’s Director of Older Adult Services. With more than 20 years of experience across small business, nonprofit, and healthcare organizations, Gia brings a collaborative and mission-driven approach to program leadership. Gia’s work focuses on developing and managing inclusive programs that strengthen communities, support older adults, and promote person-centered care.

Known for a conscientious and collaborative leadership style, she enjoys partnering with multidisciplinary teams to launch new initiatives, strengthen existing services, and deliver programs that are responsive, sustainable, and community centered. Passionate about advancing initiatives that improve quality of life in aging communities, Gia serves on the State of Illinois’ EngAging IL Commission helping to implement the Multisector Plan on Aging while co-chairing the Age-Friendly Communities Work Group. She also serves as vice-chair on the Age and Disability Commission for the City of Evanston.

Prior to joining CASL, Gia directed the health and wellbeing department at a Northside Chicago nonprofit, led implementation of the IHI Age-Friendly Health Systems framework at a federal tertiary hospital, and directed a regional medical transportation service for older adults. Gia holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Gerontology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and is a Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Healthcare.

Originally from California, Gia now lives with her family in the Chicago area, where she enjoys native gardening, frequenting her local sauna club, and swimming year-round in Lake Michigan.
