Shiyu Lin 林诗雨
MSW, LSW Candidate, Child Mental Health Clinician
Shiyu Lin is an LSW candidate with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago. She works with children and young adults (ages 0–20) experiencing developmental, behavioral, and/or mental health challenges, as well as their caregivers. Shiyu supports child developmental issues, child mental health, and social-emotional skills such as emotional regulation and socialization.
Seeking support takes courage, and Shiyu hopes to be a safe place for families. She believes every child has a secret garden, waiting to be discovered, nurtured, and allowed to flourish. Through play and connection, especially with parents, children learn how to engage with the world. As a new immigrant, Shiyu understands the challenges of asking for help within a Western context and offers bilingual, culturally sensitive support in English and Mandarin.
In her free time, Shiyu enjoys cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and embroidery.
