SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions govern the SMS communication programs offered by Chinese American Service League Inc. (“CASL”).

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages from CASL based on the communication preferences you select.

 

Transactional SMS Program

CASL provides a transactional SMS program to communicate with clients regarding services they have requested or are currently receiving.

Clients who opt in may receive text messages including:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Service-related updates
  • Case management communications
  • Follow-up communications regarding services
  • Client feedback and satisfaction surveys

These messages are intended solely to support the delivery of CASL services.

 

Community Updates & Announcements

CASL also offers a separate SMS program for individuals who choose to receive community news and organizational announcements.

  • Clients who separately opt in may receive messages regarding:
  • Community programs
  • Workshops and educational opportunities
  • Community events
  • Available services and resources
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Other organizational announcements

Participation in this program requires separate consent and is managed independently from the Transactional SMS Program.

 

Consent

Participation in any CASL SMS program is voluntary.

Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of receiving services from CASL.

You may choose which SMS programs you wish to participate in and may opt out at any time.

 

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your participation in CASL services and the communication preferences you select.

 

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier.

 

Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any CASL text message.

After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message, and no further SMS messages will be sent for that SMS program unless you opt in again.

Privacy

CASL respects your privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

 

Changes to These Terms

CASL may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued participation in a CASL SMS program after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.
